South Central Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, July 26, 9:30 AM

Post by roginoz »

We're heading back to Arlington next week for breakfast at Carolyn's. We had lunch there about three months ago, but we haven't been for breakfast in a while. It's one of our traditional favorites, with excellent service and darned good food. The weather will be hot, but dry; it should be a decent day for riding.

Carolyn's has all the normal breakfast offerings, in addition to some excellent cinnamon or caramel pecan rolls. (Eat dessert first; life is uncertain...)

TIME:

9:30 AM, Wednesday, July 26

PLACE:

Carolyn's Essenhaus

Carolyn's Essenhaus placed us in the usual room, which is good as we are a group of talkers talking about the things that need talked about. Romeo near filled the room. Food was good, as expected. Ride to was very pleasant, and same as homeward bound too. A Nice Day!

We had 17 ROMEO riders this week to the Carolyn's Essenhaus. The 17 bikes rolled a one way total mileage of 968 miles. I was the awesome, outstanding super-duper high mileage rider at 76 one way miles. No wimpy rider, lowest was Kathryn (we welcome her back, been a while) at a respectable 28 miles. All other riders broke past 50 or 60 miles. Great ride day, plus great food and super friendship gathering.

Lets plan it again next week. Roger will get a location up when he finalizes the place.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
