North Central Kansas Weekly Ride 4/26/23

It looks like next week is going to be a little cooler, so I really don't feel like venturing too far from home. I found a place that we haven't been to for just short of 2 years. Last time we had a pretty good turn out, but the time before that it snowed the night before and only 2 of us showed up and I drove my truck. It should be better this time.

The second lift project is coming along nicely. I made an adapter for the cylinder to push the lift up, but things went a little sideways. I have to thread a blind hole in the lathe and I kept running into the end of the hole and knocking the tool out of alignment. Bottom line is I screwed up the threads and ruined the part. So I spent the rest of the day making a new one. I still have to bore the hole out to size and thread it. I'll take another crack at threading it on Thursday. Well, it looks like the forecast is holding and it's a go for Ellsworth. We will launch from the Quality Inn @ 10:15.
