North Central Kansas Weekly Ride 4/5/23

Post by Roadpounder »

I've been watching my old videos of the TV series THEN CAME BRONSON. It made very nostalgic for the road trips I used to do. I was never happier than when I was on the road with no particular plan, not knowing where I'm headed until get there. The pressures of every day life start to weigh pretty heavy after all these years. So considering the few years I have left on this earth I have done much soul searching and have come to the conclusion that with what little time I have left, I intend to rid myself of all the anchors weighing me down. I'm selling everything that won't fit on my bike and setting out on an adventure to live the life I've always dreamed of. There are a lot of roads that I've yet to ride and a lot of country yet to see, and the bucket is getting pretty close to my foot. See ya down the road.

 APRIL FOOL  I'm not going anywhere! You're stuck with me. So looking back through the archives I found this place that we haven't visited for almost 3 years. Looking at the pictures form our last trip I recognize the place, but my mind had it somewhere else. Old timers disease maybe. At any rate as I recall this is a pretty good place and with the temps in the mid 50s it's not too awful far away.

RED ALERT!!! The weatherman did another bait and switch on us again. Wednesday is going to be cold but Thursday is looking much better. So I got us rescheduled for Thursday. Same bat time, same bat channel.

The wind is kicking up in preparation for tomorrow. I don't think tomorrow would be a good day unless you plan to take a sail boat to Lincoln. Thursday is looking better. After consulting my super computer, "Deep Thought", I've come to the conclusion that we should leave from the car wash on State and Broadway @11:45. That should put us over the target just about on time.
