This week’s pick has been recommended to me by a very reliable source. Maybe one or two of you who live in or around the Topeka area have been here before, I can’t personally say that I have. Hopefully for the most of us it will be a new experience. The weather forecast will be in the 40s. Just warm enough to still roll out the 2 & 3 wheelers (you still may need your long johns or heated liners).

I have been told that this place is relaxing, down to earth American restaurant with great homemade pies, including the 'no sugar added' varieties. They have "Fire Grilled Burgers." You will also find excellent customer service and great food! Annie's is always a great place to have lunch, along with reasonable prices & good food. So, Have a safe and enjoyable ride.

A helpful tip to get to parking for Annie’s: the parking lot in front of Annie’s is completely torn up by construction so it’s difficult to access. The easiest way to park is to turn west on Huntoon from Gage Blvd and enter the parking lot from the north off of Huntoon, go west of the Mission Church located in the strip mall and park on the west side of Annie’s. Hope this saves you a little driving around and searching if you’re not familiar with the area.

It was a blustery day and considerably cooler than was anticipated. But all-in-all we had a robust crowd and well attended. On the way to Annie’s Place, we caught up with a string of Lawrence Romeo Riders, reminding me of riding the “Border Rides.” There were about 6-10 of us, forming an impressive caravan of motorcycles. We had over a dozen motorcycles come today.

I also want to thank one of you in our group for buying my lunch. It was much appreciated whoever you are. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
