Tues 10/18/22 Family Cabin Belton, MO or Chops BBQ Smithville, MO

Post by Bob K. »

Option A this week is Family Cabin in Belton, MO. We have been to Family Cabin many times, but our last visit was in January 2020--almost 3 years ago. Looks like it might be a little chilly with a high of 57. 10:00 looks like a good time to me. 2, 3 or 4 wheels, grab a jacket and come join us. I’ll be back from the beach and looking forward to getting together again.

We had 11 Romeos at Chops BBQ, 4 riders in the 30 plus degree morning. Brisket sandwich is still my favorite!

It was cold today but we had 16 at the Family Cabin in Belton. My bike said it was 32 degrees when I left the house other reports were 26 and 28 degrees. Most came in cars but a few of us used the morning to practice our cold riding techniques. I forgot to plug in my heated jacket and Dan G needed fresh batteries for his heat controller. It took him a while to remember that he had some on the bike left over from his Alaska ride. Now that we remember what to do, maybe we'll get it right next time. The restaurant gave us the back room and the food was great but it takes a while to fix grits and xxxx claimed my order then complained that his has browns didn't have gravy. It is great to be back and I really enjoyed the morning.
