Option A this week Tuesday August 23 is The Trails Café in Gardner, Ks. Good food and service and they are always glad to have us. Breakfast until 11:00 then lunch after 11:00. 9:00 sounds like a good time for breakfast or 11:00 if you want lunch. Weather forecast is for a high in the upper 80’s. Should be a nice day for a ride. They are still working on the road so take care. See you there.

Option B this week will be an old favorite, Dino's Diner in Cameron, MO. They serve breakfast and lunch all day 9:00 is a good time for us, they have a large group coming in at 10:30. Be aware Route 69 is closed north and south of 116 for a new interchange. Hope to see you there.

We had 21 Romeos at Dino's this morning, food and service were good as always. The waitress even got a big round of applause when she recovered from a slip on water while carrying a loaded tray! Good to see Jackie and Roger S. today, they are mostly healed from Roger's surgery and Jackie's knee injury. Thanks everyone for getting out today.

Weather was perfect and we had about 28 at Trails Cafe. Lots of great visiting and I picked up some tips on roads to try and places I need to visit. The restaurant has started closing early due to short staff-according to the sign; so there were some comments that our staff didn't seem short. Ted shared some Alaska stories. He took offense when the local Hells Angels wouldn't talk to him. Al had put new tires on his bike and a rider came in a told him his rear tire was bald. Al was shocked but then realized it wasn't his bike (and it wasn't mine either )! I took some pictures today -- thanks to some timely reminders.
