We'll try another new place next Wednesday: Ma's Cafe, in Burden. (We haven't been to Burden since the old 160 Cafe closed down years ago.) Ma's is located on Highway 160, on the south side of the road, towards the west edge of town, just before you pass the park. The menu shows standard cafe breakfast fare: eggs, omlettes, pancakes, buscuits and gravy, etc. Burden is about fifty miles, about an hour's ride, from Wichita.

Re: South Central Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, August 10, 9:30 AM
Mostly sunny skies, cool temperatures, slight breeze and good roads made for a delightful ride to Ma's Cafe in Burden. The service was quick, food delicious (probably the best tasting biscuits I've ever had) and the price reasonable. The book didn't arrive until many of us had left, so I doubt there will be an official tally this week, but I think I counted about 22.

Thanks for the ride report and photos, Bob. We took the scenic route (unlike last week when I got us lost...,) and didn't get there with the book until some of the guys had gone. Everyone agreed that we should keep this place on the list; we'll revisit for lunch later on.
