Here is an old favorite that will seem like a new one to most of us. If you’ll recall, this cafe was originally located near Grantville, Ks, just off Hwy 24 between Perry, Ks. & Topeka. It is now located in the "Club House” at the "Lake Ridge" golf course on the west side of Perry Lake, Ks.
The location has changed, but the food is still country cooking good and as delicious as ever! Mike, the owner, has just given me the green light for our coming this next Wednesday. Normally there is no breakfast or lunch during the weekdays. Mike has agreed to generously go beyond the call of duty and exclusively open the cafe just for us.
A NOTE OF CAUTION:
There has been a question raised as to how early the cafe is open since they are opening just for us. For all you early birds note that the Cafe is not open until 9:00am.
Here are the cafe's normal open hours:
Wednesdays and Thursday’s Dinner from 4pm-9pm/bar only open until midnight.
Fridays and Saturday’s Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7am-9pm/bar only until 2am
Sunday’s Breakfast and lunch 7am-2pm.
So, let’s saddle up for a new adventure and give this cafe a whirl! Have a safe and enjoyable ride. “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you all there!

Re: AUGUST 3RD, 9:00 AM, COUNTRY HOME CAFE, PERRY LAKE, KS
What a day! Dodging rain drops for the morning hours. I stopped at DeSoto and put my rain gear on and then was able to skirt the rain until halfway between Lawrence and Perry. From there it was a “Toad Soaker”. When I got there, I found a welcoming group waiting for me and their breakfast … well, their breakfast anyway. I then learned that the cook at the last minute called in sick and they were waiting on the backup cook. So much for thinking it was me they were waiting on.
Well, let’s look at the brave crew that dared to venture out. I didn’t take any pictures outside and I don’t think I have to tell you why!! I’ll give you a one-word hint (precipitation?). Gratefully it wasn’t a total washout, for once the cook got there and started rolling out the breakfast meals, it turned out to be an enjoyable and eventful morning. We enjoyed the food, the comradery, and the sharing of many stories. You know, the kind of stories we can share with the grandkids!
