JULY 27th, 10 AM, SOMMERSET HALL CAFE, DOVER, KS

Post by Al Hayes »

Looking at the forecast tells me that there are some cooler days for next week’s ride, but it is still summertime. It’s showing some precipitation that maybe possible toward the late afternoon on Wed. Hopefully it will be a good day for a ride. Dover isn't too far for most of you, and it’s one of our favorites.

As a reminder, Teresa is the new owner and still provides those delicious pies that most of us are familiar with. The rumor is that they are still YUM! YUM! So, let’s saddle up and bring our 2 or 4 wheels, whatever works for you. Breakfast orders until 10:30 am, then lunch at 11:00 am. Teresa, tells me that the Wednesday SPECIAL will be "Finger Lichen Good" chicken wings!!

I haven’t been there in a while, but if you’ve ever been there, you know their food is delicious. Breakfast or lunch is your choice, either way you will not leave hungry. So, “Happy Trails” and hope to see you all there.

Yesterday was a real interesting kind of day. Some of us got wet and others of us stayed dry. My mama always told me there would be some days like that. I’ve been told by some over the years that I was most of the time “all wet”, but never believed them. Can’t ya tell? Don’t you say it!!

We had a good number of us show up after dodging all the raindrops. All in all, everyone seemed to be jolly and enjoyed being together as we always do. It was all sunshine and roses heading home. I had a beautiful ride through the “Flint Hills” with Don & Mike. The sun was glistening across the green grassy hills. It turned out to be a great day for riding.

Here is what the morning brought to “Summerset Hall Cafe.” It’s Show and Tell time:
