I have been a Romeo for the last 11 years and had helped Roger for a few years before he moved to Virginia and have been the South KC Coordinator since he left. It has been fun and rewarding setting up rides each week for you all. When Roger left we divided the KC Romeos into two groups, a north and south group since we had gotten so big that it was hard for most of the small places to handle us. With our North Coordinator Bob K. it has worked very well. As many of you know I have been searching for a replacement coordinator to take my place for some time. We now have a Romeo step-up to take this on. He has been helping for several years now and you all know him. So beginning with your August 2 ride John E(Long John) will be the South KC Coordinator. Thanks John for taking on this service and thanks to all Romeos out there for your support for the last several years. I especially want to thank Bob K. for being such a great partner in this venture.
Option 1 this week is an old Romeo favorite, Big Creek Café in Pleasant Hill, MO. They open early and serve breakfast until 11:00 then lunch after 11:00. 9:00 sounds like a good time to me. Again this week it is supposed to be up near 100 degrees so be careful in the heat.

Option B the heat continues, so this week will be Roxanne's Cafe in Platte City for breakfast. Let's meet at 9:00am, breakfast is served till 10:30, but I think we'll want to be somewhere cool by then. Stay safe and hydrated during this heat wave.

Thank you Randy for your years of service to the ROMEO organization. You have been a steady hand on the wheel for years and have provided many hours of great riding and fellowship for so many. I will still enjoy visiting with you every week and trust that you will continue to participate in rides for years to come! And a big thank you to John E. for stepping up and taking the lead. He will do an awesome job of finding great venues each week so that we can enjoy great rides and great grub at the same time! Props to both of you!!

I skipped Roxanne's to be with Randy and Long John at Big Creek today, Wanda did go to Roxanne's and I'll post her pictures after this. I want everyone to know I have really enjoyed working with Randy these several years, I have so much respect for his leadership, personality, attitude and his calming me down when there was a problem posting, Randy and Carol are my Romeo heroes, strong, steady, always there to help keep us going. Thank you both for all that you have done for the Romeo organization, you are loved, we hope to see you often. Welcome John E., it will be good to work with you also!
We had 17 Romeos at Big Creek today, several riders, Dan and Ellen even came back from their Alaska trip to join us!

While I was gallivanting around the country, Wanda was taking pictures of the Romeos at Roxanne's in Platte City, MO. They had 22 Romeos today, some riders on a damp Tuesday. Thanks Wanda, great pictures as always!
