This week, guess who is our honored restaurant host? On my way home from Garden City, MO., I stopped by Harold’s BBQ in Freeman, MO. to see if they were still open and interested in hosting our Romeo Riders. It was a big “YES”! This is more of a SKC ride so I talked to Randy about booking it. He suggested for me to book it for a Wed. and more than likely all of us could show up. This place is big enough to handle all of us. So, Harold’s it is for next week!
For those of you who haven’t been there, you’re in for a treat. It will be new to some and almost new for those of us who are no strangers to “Harold’s BBQ”. It’s been a long time since our Romeo Riders have been there and Harold has done a lot of remodeling. We used to pack this place out before COVID-19.
This restaurant guarantees you some mouthwatering BBQ ribs and pork sandwiches. When talking to Harold, he suggested if anyone who would be interested in live music and “Line Dance” you can find it here on Fridays at 7-10 pm & Saturday 6-9 pm. They even offer “Line Dance” lessons, and you can call the number below to get all the details. The positive aspect of Harold's Smokehouse is that the staff is energetic and provide fabulous service that his clients appreciate. The decor and cozy atmosphere let his visitors feel quite relaxed.
On that happy note and with all that being said, “Happy Trails” to you all and hope everyone can make it. Looking forward to seeing you there!

If your GPS is confused and just keeps searching for Freeman, KANSAS, please note that Freeman, KS has been moved to MISSOURI!

Thanks Mick for the oversight. I took my GPS in for an adjustment and after that it just seemed to change everything automatically. Don't that just beat all!!! I'm going to half to get it adjusted more often.

It was a good day to ride and to gather with all our wonderful Romeo friends. I enjoyed visiting with some familiar faces that I hadn’t seen for a long while. I ordered my usual when going to a favorite BBQ place, and that is never pass up a good smoked pork slab. I didn’t want to go home without sharing a little of this tasty BBQ with my best friend & sweetheart at home.
Harold’s Smokehouse BBQ isn’t normally open during the day, opened specially for the Romeo Riders today. This is a place that we’ll be wanting to come back to regularly. Harold (the owner) and the help came in extra today to serve us, and I must say they did a fabulous job making us feel right at home. After lunch Harold took us all on a tour of the place. It was amazing, this place is huge (40,000 sq ft.) If you should just be passing by on Hwy-2 & C-Hwy and you would want a bite to eat, stop and go inside the convenience store and try some of their tasty BBQ.
OK, enough pontificating again! Let’s get right to showing the events of the day:
