JUNE 8TH, 10:00 AM, BREAKFAST or LUNCH, MARILYNN’S CAFE, OSAGE CITY, KS

Post by Al Hayes »

It's been a while since we have been to Osage City. Marilynn’s Cafe is now opened to host our Romeo’s. They have hired more help and don’t think there will be any major problems in serving us. Shawn (the mgr.) has given me the green light to ride to Osage City on Wednesday. As usual they serve breakfast until 10:45 am and start lunch at 11:00 Marilynn's is a very warm and welcoming place to eat and to enjoy our time of getting together again.

The weather looks a little iffy right now but then again it might never materialize. Although, keep in mind if no one comes with their 4 wheels, rain could very well be an issue. I will not be joining you all this next Wed. My younger brother & wife from Colorado will be visiting me and so I have asked Swanee to cover for me. He always does such a great job whenever we need his help. I know he will appreciate your support as you always do!

We Romeos like Marilynn's and I hope you all have a safe & good ride. So again, “Happy Trails” everyone!!

Started out soggy early this morning but the rain quit and roads dried off enough to take advantage of some nice riding temps. The gravel parking lot at Marilynn's Place was not dried out though, so those who like to clean a little grime off their bike still get the opportunity. And we had a pretty good turnout. Was hard to count with the breakfast and lunch bunch coming and going but we must have had upwards of 20 or more and the majority on bikes. Marilynn's breakfast is still tasty as ever and they still draw a crowd, though at the table where I was at least we didn't have to wait very long. The "Speedy Breakfast" still lives up to its name! We will be going back there again I'm sure like we have for years--hopefully when the parking lot is a little less sloppy. Here's a few pics:
