JUNE 1ST, LUNCH 11:00 AM, BIEMER’S BBQ, LAWRENCE, KS

Post by Al Hayes »

The weather looks a little iffy and thought I should reel in our ride a little bit. 2 wheels or 4, rain or shine, we can do it! Reportedly the temps will be somewhere in the 80’s.

Most of us have been here before and are familiar with this place. They have amazing brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and great pulled pork, they have it all! If you're looking to get out of the house and enjoy some delicious Bar-B-Que, let’s go to Biemer's. They are committed to serving you the best BBQ money can buy! What makes them so special is that their meats are cooked fresh every single day.

Just out of curiosity, are any of you getting notifications or email notifications for the Eastern Kansas rides? I have been told by the WEB administrator that there should be a notification sent automatically to those who have subscribed to receive them from the forum of their choice. It would be interesting for me to know how many, if any, are receiving these notifications in our group. If you’re not, let me know and I will share this with Jerry, the administrator.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing you this next Wednesday. “Happy Trails” to you until then!

Ok, everybody, I’m going to be a bit confessional and bare my soul to you all. When leaving Biemer’s BBQ to go back home, Don, Mike & I were feeling a bit depressed about our weather forecast today. We were quite convinced that it would be raining after lunch, so we chose to come to ROMEO RIDE with 4 wheels. But then after having 2nd thoughts about our decision about the weather forecast, we encouraged each other by convincing ourselves that our failure in missing the forecast wasn’t so bad after all! We finally convinced ourselves that by bringing the car today … all you who rode your 2 wheelers were kept from getting soaked when going home.

Well, I’m not quite convinced of this kind of thinking, but it sounded good anyway! We had another great time together. How about today’s special. I don’t know about you, but that pulled pork sandwich was a two for one! I didn’t go away hungry and was worth waiting in line for. Well, here is how the event went today, so let’s look at our happy crowd:

PS: Several of us are meeting at Louisburg, Ks. to meet the Southeast Kansas guys at Rich Hill, MO. Friday. If you’re interested in riding with us, kickstand-up to leave at 7:30 am, from Micky D’s just off 69 hwy. “Happy Trails” until then!
