OK gang here is the scoop! Here is another new and exciting place (at least for me) for all of us to enjoy way up north of Atchison, Ks. Kudos to John English for this referral. So, as John may say try it, you’ll like it!

For those of you who are interested, Kirkwood & Co. got started as an idea...one that occupied the minds of a small group of residents and wouldn’t go away until it came to fruition. Folks that sought to do something that the community wanted and desperately needed: a place to gather with friends and family to enjoy their company, along with good food and drink.

This looks and sounds very interesting and could well be a keeper. It looks like summer is knocking at the door so get saddled up and let’s ride. You will more than likely hear some new stories and tales by those who have returned from our Spring Rendezvous. The most impressive story will be, there was no rain for four days. What a “Hay Maker” story! “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you in Highland, Ks.

Decided to enjoy the nice day riding through the Glacial Hills area and Atchison N. Saw the sight to Highland and rode there. This restaurant was started in 2019, it's still "new" looking, appears to be very well laid out. Menu has a good selection, pretty reasonably priced and service today was very fast. IMO of course.

Good ride and good turnout! Summer is just around the corner! In my estimation it was a perfect day to ride. Also, I was hearing many good rumors about the excellent service and the burgers were out of this world! I think we have found another “Keeper”!

It was so good to see everyone and some of you I’ve not seen in a long time. Good to know that most of us made it through the winter and survived any perilous health issues.

I felt we had a lot of catching up to do during our lunch time together. John English shared with me yesterday that his referral to this lunch ride came by way of Mary Rose & Bogie. I give them a big thank you for letting us know about Kirkwood & Co. and we will be back.

I'm so glad you all could make the trip yesterday and hope to see you next week when we go to Overbrook, Ks. “Happy Trails” till we meet again!
