South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, February 2, 11:00 AM

The more temperate weather we've enjoyed recently is coming to an end Tuesday night. Cold and wet next Wednesday, so we're probably driving again. We had breakfast at the Breadbasket in Newton back in July; we'll catch lunch this time around.

The Breadbasket has a great salad bar, and eight or ten kinds of homemade soup on the lunch buffet. Oh, yeah, and homemade bread. (The small serving of soup gets you a cup; the all you can eat option gets you a big bowl or three cups.) There are also three or four lunch specials, all of which look good. I'm partial to the salad and pork chile. They also have very good pie, if you have any room left. (Pie and cinnamon rolls can be packed to go, and could make you a hero when you get home...)

We'll be in the back room (west side,) as usual.

Newton is only 27 miles from Wichita, not too far to drive even if the weather is miserable.
