Unless the forecast changes considerably our lucky streak of Wednesdays good enough to get lots of motorcycles out in the dead of winter just might be over, at least for awhile. Banjo's in Pauline is just a short trip for most of us (real short if you're in Topeka) but the food is worth going some miles for whether you're sitting behind handlebars or a nice warm heater.
They do a really good breakfast, anytime if that's what you want, and starting at around 10:45 or 11 they begin lunch that features a tasty chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken special on Wednesdays. See ya at:

Yes forecast improved so maybe we'll get at least a few riders. Whatever you hop on or in to get there it's going to be nice and warm at Banjo's.

Weather-wise it wasn't a day like last week, but 23 did get to Banjo's with the majority on 4 wheels and arriving for breakfast rather than lunch. Some of us who got there between 10:30 and 11:00 did get the chicken fried steak special and were not disappointed!
That's a lot better than last January at Banjo's when snow and ice made things so treacherous only 4 ROMEOs got to Pauline in 4-wheel drive vehicles. Today we actually had half a dozen motorcycles show up though roads were wet and there was fog in spots. While morning temps were in the 40's they were headed the wrong direction with a north wind coming in. Banjo's friendly staff seemed to get everybody taken care of promptly with real good service, so hopefully those who bundled up and rode got some decent riding in before the temperatures started dropping.
Great little ROMEO get-together for January and we'll be having some more of those regardless of what winter throws at us
