Melissa and I headed home from Zion and did not go to the Amana Colonies. Our 2015 Gold Wing turned 100,000 on the trip back to Virginia. We travelled 3,679 miles from Virginia in order to ride the border of Wisconsin. As you can see it was a spectacular ride and we were honored to be a part of it.

These are not pleasure rides and are not for the faint of heart. Most days we ride 300 to 400 miles in 9 to 10 hours. We ride as close to the boarders as possible. There are long days and sometimes the roads are not the best :o . We see a state's mountains, back roads, farms, and points of interests. We get to know the people and learn a lot about ourselves.

I will never be able to thank Dan and Ellen Gray for all the work they put into these rides and giving us the opportunity to get to know WISCONSIN.

Wisconsin was the 7th Border to Border ride. Only 4 John English, Ed James, Melissa Shores and Roger Shores have ridden all seven rides, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Melissa and I left early to get home to celebrate our 50 wedding anniversary and look forward to coming back next year for the next Border to Border Ride.

Ride Safe, your "Virginia Friends"
