We haven't been to Benton since March (I believe,) and it's close enough to home for cool weather, so let's head to Stearman Field next Wednesday. The Benton airport is about twenty miles from Wichita, the food's good, and there's room for whatever size group shows up. Ride or drive, based on the weather and your inclination Wednesday morning.
Stearman Field has burgers, salads, and sandwiches, in addition to pizza and some other menu items. Breakfast is served until 11:00, but I think that the lunch menu is better.
As usual, we'll be in the south patio room, which has plenty of space in case we want to hang around and shoot the bull after lunch. It's also a good place to watch takeoffs and landings, if there's any aircraft activity. Also, a reminder: Stearman Field normally adds the tip automatically for groups our size (but not always,) so check your ticket.

Re: South Central Lunch: Wednesday, December 6, 11:00 AM
It was a much better riding day than I'd anticipated: sunny, not too much wind, and not as cold as I'd expected. (Heated gloves and fleece lined pants help...)
We had twenty-four people, and sixteen motorcycles, show up at Stearman Field for breakfast and lunch. The bikes traveled a total of 382 miles, one way, to Benton. We arrived a bit ahead of schedule, so we opted for breakfast; I think that the breakfast offerings have improved.
Charlie will have photos up soon, and I'll post next week's ride in a couple of days.

Because of the harsh lighting (shadows, reflections, bright spilling sunlight) I rate this as the worst for photography.
But the food was good today, so I am happy!
