Partly cloudy, a high of eighty-six degrees, and only a ten percent chance of rain; we may finally catch a break next week.
We've been to Galva three times, once for breakfast and a couple of times for for lunch. Let's try it again next Wednesday. Galva is about fifty-five miles from Wichita, less than an hour's ride.
There's a lunch buffet on Wednesdays: previously we've had fried chicken, homemade meatballs, and one other meat. There's also a salad bar that goes with the buffet. The lunch buffet starts at 11:00, so you early arrivers may have to wait a bit. Breakfast is served until 10:30, if you're really early.
The last time we were there the Hungry Mann's Cafe wasn't taking credit cards, so be sure to bring enough cash for your meal and a tip.

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: May 17, 11:00 AM
The skies cleared up, and we had a good turnout in Galva today. Being fairly far north, it looks like we pulled in some of the guys that normally ride with the North Central Group. We may have had more, but thirty-eight people signed the book, arriving on thirty-seven motorcycles that traveled a total of 2033 miles (one way) to Hungry Mann's Cafe. Several of us arrived early, and enjoyed an excellent breakfast. The lunch buffet looked good, too. Charlie will have some photos posted shortly, so check back if they're not up yet. I'll get next week's ride posted by Saturday.
