Shorty Antennae

Post by ARGary »

I found a small vendor (Bigbikeparts.com) advertising in Easyriders magazine that offers a very, very short (about 6" long) AM/FM antennae (I don't buy the magazine for the girly photos only). The OEM antennae on my Harley is about 24"+ long and it has to be removed when I put the cover on the bike (and I have forgotten to reattached it on several rides which makes the radio useless on the ride). I think it was about $25 and there was a long list of bikes that it fits.

Anyway, now the top of the shorty antennae is only about 1" higher than the left side saddlebag, so the antennae stays on when the cover goes on.

I cannot tell any difference in radio reception between the shorty and the stock antennae.

I also ordered an extremely well made cup holder (better than I have found anywhere else) and some front fender trim that I have not seen available anywhere else. Shipping was free and as I recall took 4 days after the order to arrive. ;)
