CALLING ALL ROMEOs, the 2014 riding year has come to an end and it is time to turn in your miles. I am anxious to recording miles for the 2014 riding year. This is not a contest and there will be no prizes, awards and no audit. I will post the information, if you will send me, 1) approximate miles ridden Jan-Dec 2014, 2) the motorcycles you rode this on—make, model and year, 2) your first name and city, 3) highlights of your riding this year. I know some of the numbers seem high but these are meant to be the number of miles you rode this year not the total miles you have ridden in your whole motorcycle riding career

In 2012 we had 115 riders turn in 1,627,751.6 miles. We now have 561 people that have signed up on the ROMEO website and there are numerous that have never signed up. (If you have not signed up please do so, but that is not a requirement for sending me your miles.) Can we reach 2,000,000 miles this year???
You may not think what you have done this year is of interest to anyone, but I think you would be surprised. I am always interested to hear how far guys are riding or if they just go to Romeo lunches, the different bikes guys enjoy riding, some are new, some old, some big, some small, and most of all where did you go this year. Maybe you went to Eskridge, KS or maybe to Alaska. Please share no matter how grand or how small everyone will enjoy. If you have been to a lunch. YOU ARE A ROMEO. Lyle here from Ft. Scott. Rode a whopping 2,115 miles in 2014! I actually traversed many more miles for meals with ROMEO’s but the pickup had probably as many as did the trike.

Greetings Roger et all, from Fort Myers Beach, Florida. It is a sunny 76 degrees here this PM, overall weather has been good but have had a few cool dips since our arrival here on New Years eve day.
My miles were not great for 2014 but did enjoy 2,270 miles primarily with Romeo riders. Upon our return in late spring from Florida found my Harley still "waiting" in the shop so got no miles on during spring and early summer.
Upon our return from our eight week + "caged trip" to Canada and Alaska in our RV (realize those 10,756 miles don't count *got it on the road and enjoyed several trips in late summer and the fall.

Probably the highlight of my year was buying my new 2014 Harley Davidson
Heritage for myself for my 67th birthday present. It was my first
motorcycle since the 1953 Harley I owned when I was 18 years ago, almost 50
years between motorcycles!!! WHEW!!
Of course my second highlight was taking my first ROMEO ride with Neil L. on
it to Reading Ks. And I haven't had this much fun for a long time. I truly
enjoy riding with ROMEO's and having met the guys that I have already. I try
to ride at least 2 days a week to ROMEO's except I must confess I am a fair
weather rider and any below 50 is TOO COLD!!

very much this year and I haven't even been able to do that many of our
ROMEO lunch rides for 2014.... I certainly hope all that changes for 2015,
because I'm ready to start putting on mileage like I use to. I managed only
9, 112 combined miles from my 2002 Triumph Bonneville,the 2006 Triumph Tiger,
and the 2010 Honda NT700V.... I am looking forward to a good 2015 riding year,
and hope the same for all of you.

ROMEOs to Lucille's at Louisburg today was excellent. It was definitely the "hard core" nucleus of the KC ROMEO group and they were as congenial (and noisy) as ever. I guess that's what the ROMEOs are about anyway.

We had 1 long trip, a 9 day adventure to Red Lodge, Montana, for the Beartooth Beemers Rally. The Beartooth Mountains are a blast in the rain, with 40 mph wind, and a temp of 41 deg. We all felt like we deserved a t-shirt saying "I Survived the Beartooth"!

Walt, Keith and Allen. Then I soloed from there down the Columbia River Gorge to Portland and then
to the Oregon Coast. Then rode down the Oregon Coast and east by Crater Lake through Oregon, Idaho,
Utah and Colorado to Arches and Canyonlands NP, then home from there (about 5100 miles total).
I hope to do even more in 2015!!
