SW MO Romeo ride to Ft Scott Friday 5/12/17

Post by Joe P »

Southwest Missouri Retired Old Motorcyclist Eating Out ... (guys, gals, couples, singles) Here it is ... time for our second ride of the summer for the SW MO Romeos.

Let's go to:
Sugarfoot & Peaches BBQ
1601 E Wall St
Fort Scott, KS 66701
ksu 10:00 am Lamar; eta 11:15 am at Sugarfoot & Peaches

There will be another adventure for us after lunch at Sugarfoot & Peaches. A new friend, Terry Hughes, some of us met in Ft. Scott last week is building a Castle there which he lives in. He is a stone mason and quite a craftsman that has been working on it since 1978 when he got out of the Navy. We are invited back for another re-visit and a tour of the place for others who have not seen it. Below are pictures of the outside, however I didn't get any inside pictures last time. Bob Burns did get some good pictures. Hope that you can join us as you will find this to be quite an interesting tour.

Not only is Terry skilled at stone/brick work, he is also EXCELLENT at preparing "critter" and I have been lucky in the past at several bike rally's to share in his feasts around the campfire. Very generous and talented guy.
