8/11/17 10:00 Lakeview Cafe Farllington Ks

Post by rcrgl1800 »

Farlington is located on highway 7 about 7 miles north of Girard Ks or 17 miles south west of Fort Scott Ks. There is a large gravel quarry east of the corner to turn into the park as well as signs. This is the easiest marker to see to find the corner to turn east. There is a fee booth at the park that will most likely be closed. However if it is open tell them you are going to the cafe and they should let you in free.

The menu has both American and Mexican food listed for all three meals.

Six Romeos made it to the lake on friday. Four of the Romeos were very wet and two were dry. It rained so hard that the lake came up six inches while we were eating. When we left the cafe the road was flooded. We went back to the cafe for about an
hour where we watch Mick eat on the largest hamburger anywhere.

We drove back to where the road was flooded and the water was still 4 to 5 inches deep when we went through the low area.

Everone needs to ask Mick if the dam at Farlington Lake is really as slick as people say.
