Wesson's (formerly Ogri) Cafe Sept 15 2016

Post by Alb1on »

This is the September 2016 British Romeos' outing to Wesson's Cafe (formerly Ogri's cafe) situated in Horam, East Sussex. Ogri was a cartoon character who appeared in 'Bike' magazine and was drawn by Paul Sample who took his inspiration from the British bikers prevalent in the 1950s-1970s before the Japanese machinery took hold and a different biking public emerged.

We decided that this would be a good run out with the usual 'healthy' grub and a chance to ogle all that nice machinery in the car park and watch it driving past from the large cafe windows. We were also able to experience the sound of howling exhausts and engine rumbling which shook everything in its path including cafe crockery and cutlery. The weather was excellent and so was the company.

We hope you enjoy the photographs.
