Pullman Place Family Restaurant Tues 01/09/18

Post by Bob K. »

Lets jump the border into Leavenworth, Ks for the Pullman Place Family Restaurant. Lots of Railroad memorabilia and good food, plenty of parking for 2, 3 or 4 wheels, although it looks like it will be mild enough to ride. They have been using lots of sand and salt, so if you ride, be safe.

Nice crowd at Pullman Place today, we had a total of 36 Romeos. There was a little confusion to start, the waitresses, who had never served us before, thought we would order when we all had been seated, oops, sorry for the wait some of you had. Once they got going the food came out quickly and was very good. With the weather being so ornery, we still had 9 bikes ridden in, with the rest on 4 wheels. Even though the weather was better, thanks for all of you that came out today. If you scroll to the bottom there is some information of the upcoming Romeo Yearbook.

Roger doesn't always carry a purse, but when he does it has a manly chain on it!

When I heard that Roger and Melissa were moving to Virginia, I wanted to honor them for all the time and work (it's not all fun!) with a Romeo Yearbook containing history, full names and pictures from as many members of each Romeo chapter I can get, which I think will be a benefit to almost all of us. I mean, how hard could it be to corral 1000 older guys and gals on motorcycles?
The following is from a Leaders meeting in 2010 that stresses the Romeo organization is about the people.

I have started the Romeo Yearbook (better title? Let me know) today with the participation of all 36 at today's KC lunch. In the near future we'll be traveling to as many groups as possible, contacting others for info and pictures, as the weather warms. This will not be a quick process, but in the end I feel we'll be closer as an organization than we are now. All participation and any information is strictly optional, if we are able to get an on-line copy, NO phone #'s or e-mails will be listed.
