BLAZER'S RESTAURANT (lunch only) opens at 10:00 am
131 N. Center St
Gardner, KS
913-856-6565 Wally

I asked Ed, who lives in Gardner for a little help. This is one of THREE names he gave me. The comments on the internet are really good for ROMEO type food, burgers, fries and shake. Plus they have just about anything else you want. Sorry no breakfast and they open at 10:00 am. Wally was very pleased that we were coming to Blazer's and promised us good food, good service and their prices seem very reasonable.

I have finally quit adding to the Ride Around Kansas ride report. So if you want to see the whole thing, here is the link. There is a separate link to the pictures each day.

I had no big agenda for today. It was kind of a gloomy ol' day with rain in the forecast, but it turned out to be a real special day due to the efforts of Ed, Jerry and Wally!!

Blazers is a fairly small place and the business of 30 to 40 ROMEOS meant a lot to Wally and his crew and they told us so. Not just verbally but in their food. Their special of the Taco Salad was good, but the non salad eaters were very impressed with the hamburger. The smoker out back made everyone want to come back for some BBQ.

Ed suggested the restaurant and Jerry opened up his garage so everyone could see his shop and car collection.

And Jerry collects other things, too!

It is hard to believe some of these started out like this!!

Jerry displayed excellent taste, by having the original GOLD WING!!

Like I said, what started out to be just another day turned out to be a real special day. A big ROMEO THANK YOU goes out to Ed and Jerry for making this a special day for all of us.
