The good news is Roger is or will be home soon, but bad news is he may need a few days to recover from jet lag after a long plane ride from Hong Kong. So let's give him another week to recover, but you never know, his batteries may recharge faster than expected. Anyway, I just talked to one of our favorite spots and they would love to have us come for another visit. They stop serving breakfast at 11, or come at 11 for lunch. The weather looks kind of iffy right now, but who knows
I may even bring Mary in the car as she's still a long ways from riding behind me on the bike.
In any case, come hungry as they usually do a good job keeping that empty feeling satisfied.
Here's the place:
Cook's Corner Cafe
214 Main Street
Dearborn, MO 64439
(816) 450-3600
Hope to see everyone again as it's been almost a month since we've been able to attend.

Re: TUE 10/9 COOK'S CORNER CAFE, DEARBORN MO
First, thanks to all who rode today. It was a little chilly starting out, but turned in to a beautiful fall afternoon. This was Mary's first Romeo event since her fall, and she really enjoyed the lunch. The best news is it didn't seem to tire her out, which is a first! Although we had to make today's trip in the car, it won't be long before we will be back on two wheels as soon as she starts and completes her physical therapy. It was great seeing Roger and Missy and hearing about their trip to Hong Kong. I could tell they had a great time but were glad to be home and back doing that they enjoy. I was so busy getting caught up, I didn't get any pictures taken, but am pretty sure other's will add their photos after my post. I hope everyone enjoyed their meal and ride and got home safe and sound. This is a great group of friends and it's great to be back!

Great little place to eat! Great to see Mary out and doing better, we all wish you a speedy recovery. Also good to see Roger and Melissa back (I hear they speak Chinese now).

A great day at Cook's Corner, Dearborn, MOLarry broke two of his rules, he went across the city and went into Missouri. John made it all the way from Ottawa and he and Larry were one of the first to arrive in Dearborn.Missy and I had a great trip, but we are glad to get back home. John just got back from a Fall Color Ride with GWTA, where they traveled over almost every road in Colorado and even a little of Utah. John said the color was good and they ran into SNOW in Independence Pass.If you didn't come, just missed some real good pie, however most of us were so full after eating the good food at Cook's that we didn't have room for the pie. Kenny performed his usual role of making sure no one gave a hard time to the waitresses. Kenny reports that ALL Romeos were on their "best" behavior and we are invited back to Cook's. This young lady never missed an order and insisted that she reheat my food that had gotten cold before I stopped running around. Everyone at Cook's does a great job. That is why it is one of our favorite places and Larry will ride all the way across town. George gives very high marks to his new CanAm Spyder. He has put 7000 miles on it already and says it is great. This is the bike Ron bought from George that he didn't get to ride to MOAB this year Don was ready to go but he couldn't get the rest of the "Oatmeal" gang to move. They were attending to important business. It was a very good day and everyone had a good time. I want to thank Gary, Mary and Randy for taking over while I was out of town. They did everything and did a great job. It was good to see Mary looking so good. It was her first Romeo lunch since here fall.
I cannot say it enough, you guys are great to be with. As Randy always signs and it goes for me to I am "PROUD TO BE A ROMEO" and be associated with such a nice bunch of folks

As much as I enjoy going on these rides and having brunch with all the folks, I enjoy these wrap up pictures and comment as well. You can't talk to everyone, and a lot of stuff goes on while you are in the other room talking to someone else... So these photos and comments fill in the gaps that you missed, like Roger kissing the cook! Keep up the great work guys, I enjoy every aspect of it! Rod
