It's been a bit warm, even for our earlier breakfast rides. Next Wednesday looks to be a little less so, but still up in the nineties. I thought I'd try to keep us in closer to home and minimize the amount of time on the road during the ride home.
It's been about five months since we visited Douglass, and it's time to head south or east, so how about breakfast at the Triangle Restaurant next Wednesday? It's a small place, but the're always able to fit our group in.
Douglass is about twenty-five miles, or a half hour, from Wichita. The restaurant is on Forrest Street, which is the main north/south street through town (west of Highway 77.)

Considering the weather, we had a really good crowd at the Triangle today. Everyone arrived early to beat the heat. We had thirty-four people, on thirty-one bikes, show up in Douglass. The bikes traveled a total of 2963 miles, one way, to breakfast. The food was good, and my biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs didn't take too long to appear at the table. Charlie will have some photos up soon, and I'll post next week's ride shortly.
