Spring may not be here quite yet, but it looks like reasonably good riding weather next Wednesday. The Weather Channel is saying that it won't be as warm as last week, but we'll have a bit less wind: a high of sixty-one, after a low of thirty-one the night before, with winds at fourteen miles per hour. We ought to be good for another fifty mile ride, heading south and west this time.
We ate at the Fence Post in Harper last March, and had a pretty good meal. The Fence Post is on the northeast corner of K2 and US160. The lunch menu includes burgers, a wide variety of sandwiches, Mexican food, chicken fried steak, fish, and chicken. There's also a salad bar and several specialty salads, along with daily breakfast and lunch specials. Breakfast is served until 2:00, so you don't have to arrive early if you'd prefer some bacon and eggs.

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, March 15, 11:00 AM
Wednesday dawned way cooler than the Weather Channel had previously lead me to believe it would, so I arrived in a Honda instead of on a Honda. About half the group had similar thoughts; fifteen people and seven motorcycles showed up in Harper. The brave souls on the bikes rode 458 miles, one way, to The Fence Post. We had a lot of chicken fried steak with eggs and breakfast burritos at our table, and the general consensus seemed to be that the food was pretty good.
Charlie was seen taking photos, so be sure to check back after they're posted. I'll get next week's ride (or drive) posted in a couple of days. Right now the weather for next Wednesday doesn't look great, but that's always subject to change.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
If you don't take the time to do it right, you'll find the time to do it twice.
