We have been here in nearly two years and I’m not sure why because people seem to like it and the food is great. Maybe because it’s too close or because it’s Almost (like) Home and you want to eat out! The fact that it’s closer may be nice if it’s like the forecast of 26 degrees in the early morning, but it’s supposed to warm up later in the day to a balmy 44.

Nevertheless, they have great breakfast, pancakes the size of a Honda Civic wheel, and a bunch of delectable lunch specials. I told them we’d be there around 10:30 and we’d all be there by 11. So let’s meet up for breakfastbslunch at:

Almost Home Cafe

Although I figured out that it hadn't been nearly two years but rather only about 10 months since we'd been Almost Home, I remember now why we go here at least once a year. They were certainly ready for us, even had a long center table set up for 21, and had a nice lunch special meat loaf sandwich (which Keith said was one of the best he'd ever had). By the it was said and done, we had 25 ROMEOS show up, 21 on two wheels, so all and all, a nice turnout on a chilly, blustery day where temps started out in the 20's and hit the 40's by mid-day. (Although it sure didn't feel like the mid 40's standing out in the parking lot visiting after lunch!) The wind seemed to pick up as the day wore on, and I had a nice tail wind heading east on the way home!

Nice crowd, great food, and lots of good conversation made it a great day to be a ROMEO! Thanks to everyone who came today! All in all, a pretty nice day to ride considering that it's December!!
