Lunch 11 AM March 8, Jae's Place, Winchester, KS

Post by swanee »

How 'bout we go back to a "just right" place Mick found last summer that's not too far, not too close, and word from a regular customer who lives in that neck of the woods is they're still just right when it comes to cooking. Breakfast is served anytime, lunch starts around 10:45 to 11:00 and the special still isn't known 'til the cook gets there but you'll like it whatever it is.

If weather's as good as they're predicting right now hope to see lots of you at:

Jae's Place
204 3rd St.
Winchester, KS

As usual thanks to Gary locations for the ROMEO rides next week can be found at:

Update :!: Jae's left a voice mail so this time we actually will know in advance what the specials are. They're going to have not just one but TWO available for us ROMEO's: pot roast OR hot wings...so you're covered whether you like "meat & potatoes" mild or something more on the "hot & spicy" side. That was nice of them to call back. See ya there on Wednesday 8-)

Ride Report March 8, Jae's Place, Winchester, KS

Post by swanee »

Best turnout so far this year with an official Hoser count of 38 bikes converging on the big city of Winchester! Warmed up nicely once the sun was out this morning, turning into a just about perfect jacket-weather riding day. Even the wind was "a breeze" compared to the way it had been blowing the past few days. I think it's safe to say the 2017 riding season has begun in earnest now...even if they are predicting snow on Saturday.

We all had a good time seeing both faces we hadn't seen in awhile as well as new ROMEO faces we hope to be seeing a lot of. ROMEOs filled up the main room at Jae's Place and were spilling over to the lunch counter by the time all of us got there. We quickly consumed all the pot roast special they had on hand (that's what I had--real good!) and I think the wings too, but not to worry they had plenty more tasty choices on their menu like the chicken fried steak so I don't think anybody left hungry.
