Re: Hello from Wichita..........

Hey Woody, Welcome aboard..... I too have spent most of my life in Wichita and I think you'll find a big majority of us here agree completely with what you said about Bob. I consider myself lucky to be able to call him "my friend"..... You should check around, as quite often there are a fe...

Re: South Central ROMEO Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, June 30,

There was a good turnout for our first breakfast ride of the year. I am sure Roger or John will fill in the numbers later. The food was good, and they had a special room set aside for us to talk as loud and as long as we wanted to. Here are a few pictures I took.....

Dang Ron, I don't know what "anti-rain" dance you are doing, but please keep it up. For the 2nd week in a row, on Monday they were forecasting lots of rain all day for Wednesday, but for the 2nd week in a row, the sun was shinning and NO rain for our ROMEO lunch ride...... GOOD JOB RON !!!...

Re: Lunch Ride for Wednesday May 26th 2010

Bob, I just wanted to thank you again for being the south-central group coordinator for us and for doing such a great job. We all truly appreciated the work and effort you put into it. The central group split seems to have worked out well for both the south and the north groups, and I know it was do...

Re: Lunch Ride for Wednesday May 5th 2010

Richard, you are so right.... What a beautiful day it was. That was a great little hamburger place and I was truly impressed at how well they handled our large group. I did enjoy seeing and talking with some guys I don't get to see very often. As you mentioned on the "North" site, there wa...

Re: Ride to Lunch Wednesday The 14th Apr. 2010

Man that was some good pan-fried chicken !!!!! It was a little windy riding, with the wind out of the south and with the majority of our riding going west or east, but the weather was beautiful. Not too warm and not too cool, just right for riding and feeling comfortible wearing a light motorcycle j...

Arlington at 12:30, OK..... If you would like to leave from the north end, a few of us will be leaving from the Maize Kwick-Shop, 53rd and Maize Road at 11:15 sharp, try to be there before then and ready to ride. Ummmmm, This is one of my favorite places, and I can hear some of their pan-fried chick...

Re: Lunch ride for Wednesday April the 7th 2010

Well, unfortunately I have other things requiring my time :( , so I will not be able to make it over to Moline, that means I won't be able to take a group this time  . I know you'll have an enjoyable ride and time, and I hope to be able to see everyone next time. Have a dish of their so...

Re: Lunch Ride for Wednesday the 31st Mar, 2010

WOW !!! What a fantastic day. We did a meandering route over to Andale (78 miles), and arrived just before 12:30.... Just right. Guys, it would be appreciated, if you would try and sign the sign-in sheet that Bob carries with him, it helps greatly in determining how many are going on these rides so ...

Re: Lunch Ride for Wednesday the 31st Mar, 2010

Anthony, Ks., well OK.... If you would like to ride there together, we could leave from the Phillip's 66 station on K42 just 1/2 m. west of Maize Road on K42, it's on the north side, and is right at MacArthur Road.... Plan on leaving at 11:15, that should get us there around 12:30..... We will again...

Re: Lunch ride for Tuesday the 23rd Mar. 2010

Can you say Be-U-Te-Full ? That's just what the ride today was. The SUN was shinning and the wind wasn't very strong either, which made for a very nice ride. There were eight of us that hooked up in Park City for the ride up to Peabody. Upon our arrival, we found a street full of motorcycles, just w...

Re: Lunch ride for Tuesday the 23rd Mar. 2010

Probably a smart move Bob ..... For those looking for a small group to ride with leaving from the north end, we will be leaving from the Quick Trip in Park City at 11:30. Since we will be traveling two-lane blacktops all the way there, that should let us arrive at the prescribed 12:30 time. We shou...

Re: Lunch Ride for March 3rd 2010

Well, the SUN finally decided to shine again and you could tell there were MANY a ROMEO that were needing to get out for a ride and eat..... I didn't get a head count, but there were twenty-some bikes parked out side the cafe. We were again treated to some friendly service by some very fine ladies a...

Richard, I am sorry to hear about your experience. It was good you had Neil riding along with you, and that it happened in town where you were able to stop safely. That is something that bothers me any more, when I am riding alone. I have thought what if just something like what happened to you, hap...

Re: SOUP ON THE HILL

Jeff had a pretty good turnout, even with the cold weather front moving through. It was colder by the time we were leaving than when we were arriving, but the fire in the fireplace jeff had going was nice and warm. Jeff had two kinds of good soups, some homemade bread, coffee, hot chocolate, soda po...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON HAMPE..... Well, as an added benefit to our ROMEO lunch ride today, we all got to share in Ron's birthday cake that Bob Lee picked up for him. Oh, and was it good too..... Thanks Ron, and Bob. By head count it looked to be 25 ROMEO's who decided to venture over to Augusta, Ks. fo...
