Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, November 16, 12:00
Good choice Roger. Sorry you were not able to make it. Looked like maybe 12 to 15 riders showed up. The Mexican food was very good, or at least mine was. Sorry, I forgot my camera so didn't get any pictures. It was a pretty cool ride over, I logged 58 miles one way from my house, but I have certain...

Roger, did you get the e-mail I sent you about eating places ?
I never received a reply, so I wasn't sure.
I and a few others are planning on riding down to Winfield, I hope the food is as good as I remember, see you there.

Great pick Roger..... Carolyn's always has had great food, and once again took care of us very well..... ""We rode a total of 1011 miles on motorcycles to get to lunch today, and I assume an equal or greater number getting home. Roger Smith"" Wow, That's a neat point of interest....

I did not think I was going to be able to make this ride, but things changed for me this morning and I took off for a very pleasant, cool ride up
to the "Whistle Stop" in Walton. Looked like a good turnout. Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy.

A good turnout and a good ride today Roger. My grandson was able to join me for the ride over, and since I was riding the Bonny today, which has only a small windshield, there was plenty of air flowing by to help keep us cool, I didn't think it was all that bad. Now if I had been on my BMW "LT&...

A fantastic day for a ride. We had a very enjoyable meandoring route over to Arlington. There looked to be a good turn out, with lots of
bikes already filling the street when we got there, and boy the fried chicken and home made pie were as delicious as always, Ummmmm !!

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, June 15, 12:00 Noon
Well after 4 weeks of rain and one of 102 degrees, we are do a nice Wednesday again. Arlington is a favorite for many ROMEO's, good food and nice people. If you would like to join in on a group ride, a few of us (the old B group), will be leaving from the parking lot of Zach's car wash , located one...

Re: THE CHILL
I think the CHILL was one of the better bike shows I've been to. Then throw in 2 buildings of nice cars and wow, what a winner.... Our local BMW riders motorcycle club sponsered a booth this year and had a great time, signed up a couple new members and had interest from several more. This was a club...

HA-HA-HA !!! Yes Roger, when we met you riding east and we were riding west on that east/west blacktop out of Sedgwick, it made me mentally stop and think for a minute "wait, which town are we going to, did I miss it, they are going the other way".... but all ended well and it was a good t...

Yep, and after you say hello to them, stop by our booth, the "Shaft-Twisters" BMW riders club and say hi to us... We will be located pretty much in the center of the building and right next to the "Women On Wheels" booth. Check out some of our members bikes and see Engle BMW's R...

Yes, I happened to watch that last night. Hatteberg has a knack of finding interesting people to tell
us about, and it just makes it even better when you know the person he is talking about.
Way to go Gibbo.....

Don't retire Woody. It has been 9 1/2 years for me and it is horrible. Every morning when I get up I have to decide what I want to do. I haven't had a day off or vacation since I retired. I'm getting so forgetful that sometimes it takes me 80 miles to get the bike the 150 ft from the house to the b...

Cathy, Welcome to the ROMEO's..... I think it is fantastic that you plan on starting up a ROMEO group in "merry ole" England.... Please keep us posted on how that goes for you. I think you'll find that it mainly requires someone who will take it upon themselves to find and post a destinat...

Re: 2010, mileage, bike and place, information
13,200 miles for me in 2010. Which is much lower than my normal (usually 20,000 +), it has just been one of those years. I certainly plan to better that by a bunch this year. I think I'll start by doing a week long ride around Big Bend, Texas with a couple of friends in February..... '95 BMW K75 RT...

First time for me to eat at "Paddys" in Sterling, but I assure you that won't be my last time..... Very good food, at least I thought so, and I just had the buffet.... Oh and I just had to finish off with a piece of their Peach Crunbles Pie..... Man, that was good. It looked like there was...

Re: South Central Lunch Ride: Wed., Sept. 15, Noon
WOW, The "overcast" skys made for some very comfortable riding over to Atlanta this morning, and not a drop of rain, which was nice. Looked like a good turn-out, and the "special" was very good. Returning back to Wichita, the sun was out and it started getting quite warm by the t...
