2007 KLR

[] Harry's 2007 KLR is for sale. He got a new one and wants to part with the old one. It has just received a blessing from Tim at Motorcare in Lawrence including adjusting the valves etc. It has 34,000 miles and you know it has been cared for. I'll check with Harry and see if he has a pic or two of ...

Re: Sunday Breakfast Rides

Thanks Roger, The Emma Chase cafe in Cottonwood Falls has changed owners and is due to open within a month or so. They had I think a third Sunday ride, maybe the new owner will keep that going. I understand he is a bike friendly person.

Re: LOST RIDER Tim Jennings do you know him

For those of you with memories like mine. Tim joined in on most of the Eastern Kansas ride a few years back. He was also at many of the coffees at the Harley shop. He rode a black metric cruiser Suzuki I think. He was a little quieter than most of the crowd, but always friendly. Don't know much abo...

Hoser

I just talked with Hoser's wife and he is feeling much better. Most of the tubes are out and he is eating well. The thought is that he will be home in the next day or two. The broken ribs will take some time to heal and my understanding is his chest will show some of the damage for ever. He should ...

8-16-14 Scenic ride/Fund raiser

Folks, our old friend Dave ask me to post this as I am only slightly less computer illiterate than he is. The Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is having a Fund raiser 8-16-14. This is a good cause and a place that really helps our furry friends. Also I did notice there is a 50/50 drawing so there may be...

Re: 100,000

I was chatting with Jerry this morning and noting the fact that we have gone over the 600 mark in members to this website. We also noticed that we are getting close to a million and a half hits. Not so much compared to some sites, but it took us a year to get the first 100,000. The website started ...

Re: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RIDE A GOLD WING?

As a comparison my wife's station wagon averages 42 mpg with scheduled service every 10,000 miles. The first set of tires lasted 56,000 miles and cost $600 to replace with a nice warranty that includes free rotation and any needed repair. All this with heated/air conditioned comfort and reasonable ...

Re: Home Style Cafe at 107 W Main St, Cherryvale, KS…Has Clo

Big L, It is always sad to see one of our local places go under. It's very hard for them this time of year when the business slows and the utilities double or triple. That was always a major part of coordinating the rides, keeping track of the opening and closings. I heard that the place in Colony ...

Re: Jack Winne has passed away

I am sure many of you were closer to Jack than I was. I always made it a point to try to know a little bit about each of the riders that joined us on a regular basis. With Jack that was an easy task as he was always ready to share a story, bits of knowledge, or even a polite joke or two. I was told...

It looks much better without the motorcycle. Not much better in life than a good road, nice weather and a good view.
