Re: MARCH 20TH, BREAKFAST or LUNCH, 10:00 AM, SUMMERSET HALL CAFE, DOVER, KS‬

Pretty good motorcycle turnout for a morning that started out a bit on the cold side. There were 20-something people and around 16 bikes if I got anything resembling a good count. Not sure I did because there were still bikes coming & going when I left. But one thing's for sure: Sommerset is ba...

A few more pics of "early birds." When I arrived George & Loud were the only ones there. Had to leave before Al and lunch bunch arrived.

Won't be able to make Council Grove today. IF somebody going wants to take a few pics for our group and post them that would be great; also there will be some pics from today I'm sure posted under North Central who are going to be there for lunch. Hope to see ya next week.

MAY 17 Breakfast or Lunch 10 AM, Saddlerock Cafe, Council Grove KS

Talked with Al yesterday before he left for Ark. He suggested we might go to Saddlerock on Wednesday which sounds good to me. Looks like fall of '21 was our last time there. North Central Group is scheduled to dine there at 11:30 but I'm guessing some of them will likely arrive earlier. It'll be gr...

Re: JANUARY 18TH, 11:00 AM, PERRY BAR & GRILL, PERRY KS

In spite of the wet weather getting there we had a bigger than expected turnout at Perry Bar & Grill. It did stay several degrees above 32 so there was no freezing stuff to deal with. Guess that's weather enough to be grateful for in the middle of January. The rain was slacking up some by the t...

JANUARY 18TH, 11:00 AM, PERRY BAR & GRILL, PERRY KS

Wednesday is most likely gonna be kinda messy weather-wise with some rain and/or snow around, depending on which forecast you look at. Hopefully not bad enough to keep ROMEOs from getting to a good meal regardless of whether they get there on 2 or 4 wheels. Whatever vehicle you want to take head on...

Re: JANUARY 11TH, 10:00 AM, TAMMY'S BILLARD AIRPORT CAFE, TOPEKA, KS

Good turnout for middle of January at Billard today with a dozen or so bikes and maybe twice as many people. Hard to get count since there were Romeos coming & going for breakfast then even more were arriving for lunch when I had to leave. It was pretty decent riding weather by then if you were...

Re: SEPT 28 BREAKFAST OR LUNCH 10:00 AM, MIRACLE CAFE, READING KS

Good turnout in Reading on a perfect day. People were arriving at different times and parking in different places in the little town and I didn't get a count. Some got there a little later than they expected to because they ran into detours like that closed section of Hwy 31 between 75 and Osage Ci...

SEPT 28 BREAKFAST OR LUNCH 10:00 AM, MIRACLE CAFE, READING KS

Forecast so far is a lot better than June 22 when wet weather didn't make for much of a riding day but several bikes made it to Reading anyway. Let's try it again, and I bet we get a few more. The Miracle Cafe has survived the worst that mother nature, pandemic and KDOT can hurl at them yet they're...

Re: SEPT 21ST, 10:00 AM, SOUTH 40 CAFE, WESTMORELAND, KS

NICE ride out to Westmoreland and it was also nice riding home or riding to wherever you wanted to go after that. Even if there was a little more wind it stayed dry & warm enough but not the kind of heat like we've been having. Counted 16 bikes and I think about 18 folks who came out to South 4...

SEPT 21ST, 10:00 AM, SOUTH 40 CAFE, WESTMORELAND, KS

Forecasts calling for upper 90's on Wednesday afternoon even though it will officially turn into "fall" the next day. A hot day like that sounds like the time to do a cool (well not as hot) morning ride over to an old favorite that serves real good breakfast, and one that we haven't been ...

Re: Sept 14th lunch ride 11:00AM, Mulligan's BBQ, Meriden KS

Told them we'd probably have less than 20 with some off at the Rendezvous, and I believe the count was 19 at a table the Mulligan's crew had already put together for us to seat 20. So that worked out pretty well. BBQ still good as ever and they get it out promptly after you wait in line a few minut...

Sept 14th lunch ride 11:00AM, Mulligan's BBQ, Meriden KS

I'll be posting rides for Al while he's at the Rendezvous then visiting family in Wisconsin for a couple of weeks. Mulligan's is a popular "sandwich & sides" place we haven't been to since Jan. 2020. They open at 11:00 and some real tasty BBQ, smoked meats etc. are pretty much what yo...

Re: JUNE 8TH, 10:00 AM, BREAKFAST or LUNCH, MARILYNN’S CAFE, OSAGE CITY, KS

Started out soggy early this morning but the rain quit and roads dried off enough to take advantage of some nice riding temps. The gravel parking lot at Marilynn's Place was not dried out though, so those who like to clean a little grime off their bike still get the opportunity. And we had a pretty...

Re: LUNCH 11AM MAY 11, FAJITAS, OSKALOOSA KS

Counted 25 of us with 21 bikes, a really good turnout considering some of our group were off at the rendezvous. Though we had more than I told them to expect, the table I was sitting at got served promptly and I think most if not all did even though the little place was getting full when locals sta...

LUNCH 11AM MAY 11, FAJITAS, OSKALOOSA KS

Last time at Fajitas was January 2020 and we had about 30 ROMEOs show up due to unusually nice weather for mid-winter in Kansas. This time it's spring and the weather looks decent, but we'll likely have a much smaller group with a bunch gone to the rendezvous in Arkansas. Al asked me to set somethi...

Re: SEPTEMBER 29th, 10:00 AM, FROGGY’S, ST MARYS, KS

We had 20 bikes and about 23 people at Froggy's on a day that was mostly cloudy looking like showers here and there, but actually it was nice riding weather. Hopefully everybody got in all the riding they wanted to today and got back home dry--the showers didn't start where I am until mid-afternoon...
